Intro
What happens when we die? This is a question that
has haunted our race since the dawn of man's existence. The mystery of
death is often feared and most people go to extreme limits to avoid it.
Survival is at the base of our very primal instincts. Those who choose
to face it in service of others are called heroes. However, we still do
not know what happens after death. Every major religion has its own accepted
theory of what occurs after death, but the two most widely accepted theories
are reincarnation and ascension.
Ascension is primarily the Christian theory that
discusses the soul's ascension to another plane of existence (Heaven or
Hell) following death, depending on how you lived your life. Reincarnation
involves an eternal cycle of death and rebirth for each soul. Reincarnation
will be explained here. Reading this with an open mind, you will come to
realize how natural reincarnation is and how it aligns with other natural
cycles in our world.
What is Reincarnation?
Reincarnation is a widely accepted theory all over
the world and for hundreds of years, rivaling even Christianity's ascension
theory. The laws of reincarnation vary from culture to culture, but generally
speaking, reincarnation states that each and every soul begins within an
oceanic mass of living energy belonging to the world itself. Many Native
American cultures called this mass "The Great Spirit." Some cultures refer
to this mass as "Gaia." The Gaia theory was creatively used in the popular
2001 film Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within. Most of the remaining
cultures that acknowledge this worldly entity consider it as the whole
which results from the joining of the God and Goddess. In all cases, the
nature of this entity remains the same. This oceanic entity of living energy
provides the seed of every lifeform. Each lifeform goes throughout its
life on Earth's physical surface, dies, returns to Gaia, and is reborn
as a whole new lifeform.
Natural Cycle?
Interestingly enough, our physical bodies follow
this exact same pattern as observed by medical science. Our bodies begin
as a tiny cell until we are fertilized, born, and begin to grow. We require
constant protein and nutrients to build and repair our bodies like any
other lifeform. After our life has ended, our bodies decay and rejoin the
Earth in the form of nutrients for other lifeforms to follow this pattern.
This is not unlike our soul, which rejoins Gaia upon death to supply nutrients
so that others may live.
Another interesting fact is that our world follows
this constant rotation for many various aspects of nature. Take the water
cycle for instance. Water begins in the clouds, rains down to Earth, evaporates,
and rains again. This is a suprisingly appropriate analogy to view reincarnation
as a natural cycle of our world. Water has always been dubbed an element
of life. As it is the life's blood of our world's physical side, we are
the life's blood of our world's spiritual side.

Effects of Reincarnation
Some magicians theorize that the soul is divided
thoroughly in between lifetimes in order to eliminate all impurities in
the soul and cast them away to Gaia. This is so that everyone can start
clean and begin their next life as a whole new person. The living conditions
which cause your mind and soul to become good or bad is washed away during
death. Therefore, some come to consider death as a cleansing period before
being sent back to Earth.
As your previous body, spirit, and soul were divided
before birth, you almost always begin life with little to no memory of
your previous life. In addition, your mind is given much time to forget
what memories you did have during childhood. However, the wisdom and knowledge
obtained during your previous lifetimes is not entirely lost. If you are
familiar with Past Life Regression, you can use this technique to gain
knowledge about previous lives. In some cases, you can even get fair details
about your future lives.
Flaws in the Ascension Theory
Ascension is an equally accepted theory as Reincarnation.
Unfortunately, many people who accept it, do so out of dogmatic faith and
never really compare it to natural law. Those who thoroughly examine both
theories may come to realize various natural flaws in the Ascension theory
itself. One such flaw is that ascension is guaranteed for all lifeforms
and that no lifeform lives on Earth a second time. The natural flaw in
this theory is rooted in the psychical law that energy is neither created
nor destroyed. In order for trillions on top of trillions of lifeforms
to live a single life and ascend to another plane of existance, there would
have to be an endless supply of spirit energy being created in addition
to two endless places to send the spirit energy after death. However, you
will never observe this effect or anything like it anywhere on our world.
It simply does not fit with the natural flow of our world.
Secondly, if carefully observed, you may see how
our world recycles everything in some form or another. Nothing is ever
wasted and everything moves in a constant cycle of use, decay, regeneration,
and reuse. This applies to everything that is organic and everything that
is not. For a living soul to be used once, then cast away with everyone
else not only makes God seem a little wasteful, but this also does not
fit with the natural flow of our world.
Another point is the fact that ascension dictates
which plane you go to upon death depending on how you lived your life.
This also makes God appear wasteful with those who did not live as well
as others. This also does not cover people who were simply not educate
on the existance and opinions of God or lifeforms beyond the concept of
education. This theory simply leaves too many gray areas, unanswered questions,
and room to guess with nothing to relate it to. Most followers of the ascension
theory simply label it as "God's mysterious way" and believe it. However,
the truth is that it simply does not fit.
Conclusion
Now that you are familiar with the theories of reincarnation,
you can better form your own theory on the matter. This is likely as close
to knowing the truth as we will ever come. However, I find it wiser to
base theories on observed truth instead of basing theories on other theories.
